When I ran for CD2 in Nevada this year, this was my political webpage. Since I lost the election, this site might be irrelevant, but I am keeping it up because there was and still is a lot of traffic on it. This content some have told me is interesting and educational.
It's a Peak Oil, survivalist kind of site, with ideas also on how to survive the Terrrible Depression which may be headed our way.
If you can get through the political-roughage part of it, you might find some interesting information.
And it will keep enlarging as new stuff develops.
We will focus on developing local alternatives. Baking our own breads, cooking with solar and wood-gas or other renewables, learning how to really recycle the automobile, how do we rescue the suburbs, how do we rebuild our railroads, and what can we do to improve this world quickly is the theme.
The blog about the winebox solar rice cooker (below) is pretty cool. I tried to lean this towards kids and to get them to experiment with solar stuff. Also for more check the sidebar which has a whole lot of other topics. Cooking with the sun inside a double glass jar works amazingly well. This device is made from recycled stuff. If the economic crash takes out our systems, then we will be using a lot of recyclables -- of necessity rather than choice....
Good luck, and I'll try to keep this site current and add more stuff on a regular basis.

It works really well, it's basically free, and it promotes solar as well as cutting your power bill and enhancing your hand/eye coordination.
